PRE-SALE - VERY ACCOMODATING. POST-SALE - VERY POOR IF NOT MISLEADING COMMUNICATION AND UNREASONABLE DELAYS. ULTIMATELY CANCELLED ENTIRE ORDER. IMPROVED SHIPPING TIMES AND TRACKING COULD HAVE SALVAGED THIS TRANSACTION.

My wife and I went to the EQ3 store here in Dallas over the weekend for the 4th or 5th time since we liked the furniture and the non-pushy sales staff. This time we knew exactly what we wanted. We wanted 8 pieces of storage shelving for which we had spent a long time researching. Turns out that the items are on back order and will not come in until mid NOVEMBER. That's right ! Three months. And (get this) even that date is "soft". There are no assurances/guarantees/nothing.... So I suggested that, given my urgency, I did not mind taking TWO out of the TEN pieces on the floor and wait for the other six to come in November. Turns out, that's not possible because "corporate" requires them to keep the items on the floor and they can't part with them. My only incentive to stay with EQ3 is because (get this) I have to drive in to cancel my order and cannot do it over the phone. I wrote to their customer service department and heard "the sound of silence." Shop at your peril.
