The Dallas Arboretum is both a beautiful horticultural display and a research and development center geared towards finding new plants that can thrive in the harsh climate of North Central Texas. Gardens include the 2.2-acre Lay Ornamental, home to hundreds of perennials and a falling water curtain; and the "Woman's Garden," a stunning example of landscape design with a reflecting pool centerpiece, and lovely views of nearby White Rock Lake. The Arboretum lies about six miles northeast of downtown, near Tenison Memorial Park.
Open daily 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Adults $8; Seniors (65+) $7; Children (3-12) $5; Children under 3 are free.
